Audrey Foxx, is an acclaimed Chicago based jazz and blues artist, actress, and performer who “can tear up a stage and pull the roof down on top of it.” -Robert Rodi , Newcity
Audrey Foxx began her performance career at Columbia College in Chicago where she learned to love the stage… and it loved her back. Since then she has performed in countless musicals including My Way - a tribute to Frank Sinatra, Blood Brothers, Jekyll and Hyde, Jesus Christ Superstar, Guys and Dolls, Little Shop of Horrors, Elvira, Annie, and Tommy. Her impressive list of off-Broadway shows range from British farce to Shakespeare and Molière. Foxx spearheaded the Pilsen Theatre in Chicago where she performed in countless productions during the early 2000’s.
Foxx’s love of live music performance provoked her passion for performing in several bands throughout the Chicagoland area. Today her repertoire includes many jazz standards (covering the likes of Sinatra, Billie Holiday, and Sarah Vaughan) as well as soul, R and B, (Aretha Franklin, Etta James, and Sade) Blues, pop, rock, and even show tunes.
In October of 2020, Foxx released her debut Jazz and Blues album, “Stone Cold Woman” to international critical acclaim. “Audrey Foxx has the …searing, ecstatic anarchy of the blues in her DNA.” (Newcity)
Foxx “can take over a room with her smokey delivery” (Here comes the Flood) ...”Foxx’s voice has a ravishingly jagged edge, and this EP (mixing original tunes and well-chosen standards) is a sleek and seductive listen.” (Sounds of Chicago/Newscity Music) “Brilliant and seductive vocalist” (WGN news radio)
Foxx thrives in the theatre and the stage is her home. She continues to write original material and is currently working on her next album in collaboration with Chicago blues guitarist, Brother John Kattke and Chicago based jazz pianist Tom Viatsis. Look out for Foxx’s next album, of all original soul and R and B which she plans to release in the spring of 2022.

Audrey Fox - Stone Cold Woman A modest five-track EP introduces us to an outstanding vocalist from Chicago, The EP is composed in such a way that it looks like a kind of journey from blues to jazz. The first, title track (frankly my favorite on this album) Stone Cold Woman Audrey’s melody, text, manner of performance, and the instruments - everything is saturated at the core of the class with blues, despite the undoubtedly jazz character of the album. Audrey Fox's EP Stone Cold Woman can safely rank as complete success - and, all the while, leaving us wanting more!
